Description

Jesus as He appears in the Divine Mercy image radiates from this beautiful candle. This candle mold was made by us, and each candle is hand poured. 100% Beeswax candle. 2 inches round, 6 inches tall. 9 ounces. Burn time approx. 20 hours.

Helpful tips:

If the candle flame is unusually large, flickering, and sending off smoke, the wick is too long. Blow the candle out, trim the wick down to a 1/4 inch, and relight. (Use caution: charred wicks leave black smudges, and the wick will be hot if you just extinguished the flame.)
Burn the candle for at least an hour at a time so that the pool of melted wax can expand to its full size. Burning for short amounts of time will leave thick walls around the flame and waste wax, decreasing the total burn time of the candle.
The walls around the edge of the candle can be easily trimmed with a sharp, non-serrated paring knife while the wax is still warm, a few minutes after blowing out a candle that has been burning for at least an hour. Make sure the melt pool has completely solidified before attempting this.

To clean the used paring knife, we recommend scraping the blade clean with another non-serrated paring knife, discarding the wax in the trash, polishing the blade with a paper towel, and then washing the knife with soap and water. Wax causes huge problems when it gets into the plumbing, so try to avoid getting any down the drain.
